|
|
I pulled a mop out of my C.Campsi Tank and found out that my female Goo obo Goby was hiding in the same mop with some Jelly like cluster.
I have no idea what Goo obo Goby eggs look like ?
They were oval and pointy, very shiny and clear , and had cream color center.
Are these Go obo eggs ?
How do I hatch them and what care I need to take ?
Any help will be appreciated.
I am very excited to have them spawned too.
Thanks, _________________ Bedotia leucopteron Madagascar, C. campsi, P.furcatus, P.gertrudae, M. herbertaxelrodi,M. boesmani "red",M. nigrans, M.praecox, M. | Sounds like gudgeon eggs but it wouldn't be the fem unless you caught them in the act-or maybe she was looking for lunch! Only the male guards the eggs. Hatching their eggs artificially if they are just laid is difficult at best especially as they are in a mop and directing a flow of water at them will be difficult. From your description of the eggs it sounds as if they are pretty newly lain. I had a few troublesome males that were fond of eating the eggs and consequently I have a good amount of experience artificially hatching them. I was never able to incubate new eggs to term. If they were about 3-4 days old and you could see some development then it was a different story. You could try to remove these and bubble them in a strainer[like African cichlids] but its probably best just to make sure they have future proper choices for spawning sites as they will surely spawn again in the near future. |

I have a pair fo C.Campsi, 6 dwarf Cory with this PAIR of Goo Obo GOby.
Its a 10G bare bottom tank with a floating mop and sponge filter.
Planning to remove the Campsi Pair, so that fry may have chance to survive.
Will parent Goby harm the eggs or the new fry ?
I don't think Dwarf Cory will harm the eggs or the fry.
I moved the mop into a 4 G Critter Cage with a air stone.
Hopefully I can get some fry.
How long eggs take to hatch ?
Thanks

What is the min and max temp requirement for Goo Obo Fry , that are 3 weeks old now .
In general do they require warm temperature to hatch eggs ?
Regards
